Mrs. Beasley was born on December 19, 1941 in Braux-le-Chatel, a small village in the Champagne region of France, to Robert Delacroix and Renée Godinet Delacroix. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Claude, Gilles, and Jean-Michel. She grew up on the family farm with her six siblings, working in her parents' small café as a teenager. On June 22, 1963, she married her long-time beau Jim, an airman assigned to the nearby American Air Base at Chaumont-Semoutiers. After many years as an Air Force family, they settled in Jim’s hometown of Coats where they built a home, and watched their family grow. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dunn, NC. She enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, and traveling to her native France to visit family and friends. She has many dear friends and family members who will sincerely miss her.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 60 years, retired Air Force Master Sergeant James F. Beasley of the home; son Vince and finacée Colleen Hennessy, of Freeport, NY; daughter Alice and husband Danny Denning of Angier, and their two daughters Alexandria, her husband Devan Holman, and their children Alexis Rose and Baby Boy Holman of Angier; and Lauren and boyfriend Hayden of Boone. Also surviving are sister Anne Marie Lewis of Benton, TN; sister Nicole Wheeler of Dover, DE; and brother Laurent (Anne Marie) Delacroix of Nangis, France; also, many nieces, nephews and friends all around the world.
