Remus Harrill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Inc. - Madisonville on Feb. 2, 2024.
Remus (Remie) W. Harrill, Sr., of Madisonville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by close family, at home on January 31, 2024.
He was born on August 20, 1931, in Madisonville, TN. He served in the Korean War, and forever to the story of him driving the ambulance over there. He loved telling his stories of where he had traveled, and all the things he had done along the way. He loved cars and horses, and was always trading both, because you never buy anything to keep. He loved riding around and may have showed up anywhere just to check on someone, or to talk. There was never a dull moment around him, and if you had the pleasure of meeting him, you would know. He always said he was the best son named Remus his dad ever had, but we all knew he was an Outlaw Cowboy.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, William (Joe) and Ethel Harrill; son, Lynn Harrill; along with brothers, Gordon Harrill, Leon Harrill, EJ Harrill, Richard Harrill, Lester Harrill; sisters, Genetta Williams, Flossie Tallent, Vernie Rogers.
Survivors include his children, Remus W. Harril and his wife Donna, Shawn Harrill, Shirley Dockery, Melody Anderson, and Michelle Daniel; along with multiple grandchildren, including Sumer, William, Emma, Codie, Timmy, Dwayne Harrill, and Terah, Audra, Amber, Holly Harris, Brad Torbett, Bobby Mason, Cruz Martin, and Jared Turner; he also had many great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, with Rev. Carl Croft officiating. Interment will follow the service at Chestua Campground Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
