CHILNER, Renee (Brokaw) – of Burton, MI, age 69, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan 48423; Pastor Randy Brokaw officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Animal Control in honor of Renee.

Renee was born in Flint, Michigan on September 29, 1955, daughter of the late Manley and Dorothy (Davis) Brokaw. She married Donald Chilner on November 20, 1999, in Flint, Michigan. Renee was a Christian and found joy in the little things and adored animals. She had a passion for shopping at yard sales thrift stores. She loved working in the yard and tending to her flower beds. Her presence will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Renee will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Don Chilner; children: Dana and Chava Gutierrez, Jason Stewart, Donny and Luke Chilner; grandchildren: CJ, Michael, and Sophia Gutierrez, and Luke Chilner. She also leaves behind sister, Marvey (Dale) Parr; brothers: Manley (Vanessa) Brokaw and Randy (Dianne) Brokaw; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents, and sister, Kim Foster.
