Renee Gabrielle Caster

Renee Gabrielle Caster was born on February 25, 1995 to parents Cyril Caster and Cheryl Stevens Caster of Landenberg, Pennsylvania.
Growing up in Landenberg, Renee attended the Preschool Workshop, SCCYMCA, Kemblesville Elementary and Avon Grove Charter School. She was a 2013 graduate of Avon Grove High School, and began the study of Psychology at Delaware County Community College.
As a child and young teen, Renee learned gymnastics at KMC in Kennett Square and trained in figure skating at the University of Delaware, the Pond, and the Skating Club of Wilmington. Throughout her life, she was a creative artist and poet, and she loved music, especially punk rock. She liked to go to live concerts at the local Grange halls, the Electric Factory and Wells Fargo Center. She loved clothes, especially hoodies and sweat pants. She loved many pets over the years, especially her faithful dog, Chewy. She had many friends of all ages in Avon Grove and Oxford areas, too numerous to mention.
Renee is survived by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Reid and Amie Caster of Parsippany, N.J.; aunts and uncles Carol and Karl Schantz of Newark, N.Y. and Cindy Stevens and Jean-Luc Jannink of Ithaca, N.Y.; uncle Allan Caster of South Butler, N.Y.; nephew Chase Caster; and cousins Karl Schantz, Sarah Ellis, Seneca and Simone Stevens, Laural Betts and Seth Caster. She is predeceased by her brother Dorian Caster and grandparents Bernie and Katy Caster of South Butler, N.Y. and Margaret and Rodney Stevens of Cinnaminson, N.J. Renee has shared the last five years with her partner Whitney Gillis of Pottstown, PA. Together they were building a cleaning business, JRW Cleaning Solutions.
Renee had a strong and shining personality, and a unique style and charisma that endeared her to many. She was very bright and had a wry and witty sense of humor. Her tragic passing leaves a void in our hearts and lives which will never be filled. She was a shining star treasured by her family and friends, and will be remembered forever with deep love and affection.
