Renee entered into this world on July 18,1957, the eldest of 4 children (Jeanine, Junior, and Lauren) born from the union of Rose Marie Holmes and Lawrence Fuel. Her early years were spent in her birth town of
Brooklyn, NY before the family relocated to Philadelphia, PA in late childhood.
As Rose's health began to decline, Renee was welcomed into the heart and home of Tina Wilkins. It was Tina who became the mother she needed and provided her with 2 additional sisters, Kathy and Wendy that she cherished.
Renee continued her education in the Philadelphia public school system graduating from overbrook high school. It was around this time she was introduced to and entered into a relationship with Terrance Richburg Sr, an older cousin of a close friend, yielding the birth of her eldest son Terrance Jr.
While they parted ways romantically some years later, he remained a constant presence in her life. Eventually becoming affectionately known as G-Pop to her grandchildren, which he would go on to shower with love as his own.
In her early 20s in 1980, Renee moved out to Malvern where she resided with her treasured friend and Aunt, Parthenia Jacobs. It was through Aunt Par that she was introduced to and later began dating Louis(Randy) Manon. The pair were wed in an intimate ceremony at their family home on September 13, 1986 and their relationship evolved over the years into a beautiful partnership.
It was through this union that welcomed her 2 daughters Christina and Lillie into their already blended family, which included Denise, Tia, and Roddy from Randy's previous marriage to Robin Rushin. Robin quickly became a true and trusted friend.
Renee worked as a preschool teacher at Little People's before branching out and starting her own in home daycare. She had 3 consistent families for a number of years, closing her business when the last of those children became of school age.
She finished her career as a manager for Kriebles Cleaning Services, where she made some dear and lasting friendships, later retiring due to illness after being diagnosed with Lupus around 2005. While the disease was devastating at times, she fought fiercely and tirelessly relying on her faith and eventually regained some of her health.
Although unable to return to the workforce she put her talents to use elsewhere in serving her church community and helping family and friends.
Over the years at St. Paul, Renee served in many different capacities; most notably as part of the Missionary Society and director of the YPD, the youth initiative of the church. Her love of children and spirit of service made her an ideal candidate for the job.
Renee gave her life to Christ following the death of her Grandmother Lillie Mae Callahan. She later joined and became an active member of St. Paul's AME Church of Malvern.
A lover of music and a "collector" of people, to know her was to love her. Renee was compassionate, empathetic, friendly, and social down to her core. She was full of love and light. Always willing and genuinely wanting to help anyone in need. Renee selflessly poured love into those she cared for oftentimes looking past her own physical discomforts.
Some of her favorite past times included playing acey-deucy or pinochle, her RnB weekend getaways and concerts with her "girls", paint nights, anything that involved her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. Her Greatest joy these last few years was the opportunity to care for her grandsons John Louis and Grayson.
Last November Renee was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer that even with treatment, took a significant toll on her health and ability to get around. To help manage her illness, Renee moved in with her daughter Lillie in King of Prussia where she passed away at home surrounded by her husband and children on October 24,2023.
Affectionately known as Renee, Nae, Mom-Mom, and Nonni, she was preceded in death by her Parents, Lawrence Fuel, Tina Wilkins, and Rose Holmes, siblings; Lawrence Fuel Jr, Jeanine Fuel, and Ronald Bembry.
She leaves to cherish her memory and honor her legacy of love husband Randy Manon, sons; Terrance Richburg Jr(Crystal), Roddy Manon(Erica) daughters; Christina Manon Melle(JP), Lillie Manon, Shakia Manon, Denise Bates, Amber Turner( Emmers) Tia Manon, Tina Jansen, and Brandy Rushin.
