Renee Williams Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 20, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Reneé Elaine Williams (Weaver), 70, of Tippecanoe, Ohio who was born October 25, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio. After a long illness, she passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Reneé is preceded in death by her mother Gloria F. Weaver (Flott), father Donald C. Weaver, Uncle Samuel J. Flott and Aunt Vivian "Evelyn" Flott. She is survived by her beloved spouse of 49 years, Robert W. Austin III of Tippecanoe, Ohio, her daughters, Brandie J. Bourne (John) of Port Washington, Ohio, Erin R. Austin of Canton, Ohio, son Robert W. Austin IV (Melissa S. Austin) of Massillon, Ohio, grandchildren Chad J. Bourne (Kylie), Sara F. Bourne, Robert W. Austin V, Jossilynn S. Austin, and Sheree Rowan. She is also survived by her sisters Donetta M. Weaver and Anita L. Gardner (Ron) both of Massillon, Ohio, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several great nieces and nephews.
Reneé cared deeply for her family and was a wonderful mom, nana and wife. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner. After graduating with honors from Kent State University with a Master's in Library Science, she was employed by the Stark County Library where she created many programs that benefitted her community, especially proud of the Ohio Means Jobs program.
Reneé believed in God and was an active member of the Brownsville Christian Church family. Her work with the Food Pantry was most enjoyable to her, once again helping those in her community.
Reneé also found great joy in the outdoors while living in the Tappan Lake Region, caring for her birds and other wildlife, as well as her Akitas, most recently her dog Apache.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on October 25, 2025 at 11 am at Brownsville Christian Church, 32530 Moravian Trail Road, Tippecanoe, Ohio 44699 with a luncheon at the church to follow. All are welcome to share a short remembrance during the ceremony. Please join us to remember Reneé. In lieu of flowers, please bring a donation for the church's Food Pantry program that Reneé so greatly supported.
