Reuben Michael Wenstrom, 67, of Floodwood, unexpectedly passed away January 8, 2024 in his home. He was born in Grand Rapids to Reuben and Anna Wenstrom. He grew up on the family farm in Halden Township making hay, working at the family hardware store, snowmobiling and perfecting his baseball skills.
Reuben graduated from Floodwood High School in 1975 and continued his education obtaining his Business degree at UMD. He owned and operated Wenstrom Insurance Agency for 40 years.
Reuben was a member of Savanna Drifters, Floodwood Lions Club and he was a board member for MAT, Inc. He enjoyed many activities including snowmobiling, sports, kayaking, saunas, spending time at the lake and watching the Twins.
Reuben is preceded by his parents; uncle, Andrew Wenstrom.
Reuben is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Mark) Wenstrom Pocrnich; niece, Tess (Corey) Pocrnich; his beloved Kitty, and many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 24, 2024 at Rich Cuisine, 201 W 7 Ave, Floodwood. A Sharing of Memories starts at noon until 1:00 p.m. with lunch from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14 st, Cloquet.
