Muncie – Reva A. Johnson, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Morrison Woods.
She was born in Muncie on January 18, 1934, the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Turner) Condon and graduated from Center High School in 1953.
On August 2, 1953, she married James "JD" Johnson in Maysville Kentucky at First Christian Church.
Reva was a homemaker to her husband and three boys and later retired as a clerk from Allied Adjustments in 1994.
She was a member of Concord Community Church in Vevay and Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Reva enjoyed crocheting afghans as gifts for family and friends along with boating and camping on the Ohio River. During her retirement she lived in Vevay until 2013.
Survivors include her three sons, Ray A. Johnson (wife, Patricia) of Muncie, Larry D. Johnson (wife, Rhonda) of Anderson and Glenn D. Johnson (wife, Lisa) of Yorktown; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Schwer of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, JD Johnson in 2020; two sisters, Barbara Perry and Jacqueline Schmidt-Vadakin; a brother, James Condon; her nephew, Joe Perry; along with her parents.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Buck Creek Pike.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Concord Community Church, 12278 East State Road 156, Florence, Indiana 47020 or Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, 11531 US 35, Muncie, Indiana 47302.
