Reverend Lyndon Joseph Biddix
Reverend Lyndon Joseph Biddix, 78, of Sylva entered the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Surrounded by his children and many loving grandchildren.
He was born in Jackson County, N.C. on December 6, 1946 to the late Lebron Biddix and Ollie Shular Biddix. He was a loyal and faithful servant of the Lord and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather with extra love and care given to Aaron (grandchild) and Allie (great grandchild), of the home. He was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and spending time with family.
Lyndon is survived by his sons Timmy Lynn Biddix, Tommy Joseph Biddix (Tonia) both of Sylva and daughter Misty Elaine Berry (Ricky) of Cullowhee. Nine grandchildren Aaron Biddix, Michelle Biddix McClure (Logan), Emily Berry Milligan (Dustin), Jeremiah Biddix (Faith), Nathan Berry (Rose), Brooke Biddix, Dustin Biddix, Hannah Biddix, and Morgan Biddix and 16 great grandchildren. Four sisters Nettie Frizzell (Johnny)), Janie Hoyle (Lester), Emma Young, Margaret Smith (Lonnie), and two brothers Jackie Biddix (Louise) and Rev. Donald Biddix (Karen) all of Sylva.
In addition to his parents Lyndon is preceded in death but now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 54 years, Wilhelmina Lou Johnson Biddix, and brothers Dave Biddix and Jake Biddix.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, December 22 at Appalachian Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Biddix and Rev. Ricky Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Pallbearers serving will be Jeremiah Biddix, Dustin Biddix, Zach Worley, Nathan Berry, Dustin Milligan, and Mikey Cochran. Honorary pallbearers Aaron Biddix and Ronnie Austin.
We rejoice in the promise of eternal life he is now at peace in the arms of his Savior.
