Rex L. Gosnell, age 83 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Baptist Health of Corbin.
He was born in Greenville, Tennessee on August 24, 1938 the son of Hubert Roosevelt and Volla (Steele) Gosnell. Rex had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
His parents; son, James Gosnell; brothers, Ralph Gosnell and Leonard Gosnell; and Joyce Hall precede him in death.
Survivors include his son, Rex Gosnell, Jr. of Lafollette, Tennessee; daughters, Kathey Burke and Brandie Johnson both of Corbin, Kentucky; brothers, Larry Gosnell of Meadville, Pennsylvania and Billy Ray Gosnell of Somerset, Kentucky; sister, Zella Mae Bouley of Indiana; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
