I remember when I was in puddle in Hightstown Highschool about 3-5 years ago pre-covid lockdown I had gotten a few chances to speak to Mr. Holder cracking jokes and he would tell me stories about the past. He told me he was an author. We would talk about all sorts of things. I remember wearing a brown leather jacket with hair on the inside to school and he complemented it and we started talking about how expensive they are. He told me he really likes the classic look of the pilot leather jacket. I also remember having conversations with him about how I had asperations of joining the military. He told me stories about the Airforce and his time in service. Coincidence or not, I did end up joining the Airforce and am currently looking into commissioning with dreams of becoming a pilot. It may have not seemed like much to him but the little interactions that Mr. Holder and I had would make my days better. Rest in peace Mr. Holder Hightstown will not be the same without you.
I've attached a picture of me now in the Airforce as well as a picture of a vintage pilot jacket that our conversation made me think of.
Rest in peace Mr. Holder
