Rex Poole

Rex Poole, 74, of Bald Knob, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born August 13, 1951, in Newport, Arkansas, to the late Albert and Thelma Poole. Rex, affectionately known as "PawPaw Rex," was a man who deeply cherished the outdoors and found solace and joy in camping. He never missed an opportunity to gather with loved ones, enjoying holidays and birthday parties with friends and family. His infectious humor about the many parties we always had was a lasting topic. Rex has left an impact on everyone he encountered. Rex could tell you about highways and roads due to his 20 years as a truck driver. He could tell you a story about the places he had visited to anyone willing to listen. He is survived by his spouse of 18 years, Denise Thompson, his children Connie Poole of Bald Knob, Arkansas; Denae Diaz of Bald Knob, Arkansas; Dustin Poole of McCrory, Arkansas; and Derrick Poole of Bradford, Arkansas; Jonathan Shook (Heidi) of Dallas, Texas; Angela Rowland (Tony) of Searcy, Arkansas; Jennifer Brackenridge (Bryan) of Searcy, Arkansas; Amanda Martin of Bald Knob, Arkansas; his brothers, Johnny Poole of Bradford Arkansas; Sherry Poole (Leona) of Bald Knob, Arkansas; and his sister, Sue Hyde (Bill) of Bald Knob, Arkansas; He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alma Rice (Duke). Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
