Rhonda Kay Thissen, 71, passed away August 10, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, January 14, 1954, to P.D. Grimsley and Arla-Mae Martha Hill. Rhonda loved to cross stitch, watch tv and read. She also loved Christmas which was her favorite holiday. Throughout her life she was a secretary for St. Paul's Lutheran Church, medical secretary for St. Joe medical, now a part of Via Christi and retired from St. Joseph school as a secretary. She is survived by her husband, David Thissen, of 52 years; daughter, Marcia (John) Ward; grandchildren, Izabella Thissen and Alexandria "Lexie" Thissen; sister, Deborah (Karl) Ely and brother, Craig Grimsley. Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, P.D. and Arla-Mae; son, Matthew Thissen and brother, Bo Grimsley.
