Rhonda Fry Obituary
Rhonda was born April 18, 1953, the second child of William and Lorraine Dray of Gillingham. She grew up on the family farm with her 3 siblings and graduated from Richland Center High School in 1971. Rhonda was the loving mother of two sons, Shane and Scott Carter. Her life was later enriched when she was united in marriage to Dennis Fry in 1990. Rhonda and Dennis enjoyed 34 years together, spending their time bowling, playing horseshoes, shooting darts, visiting casinos, and were active members of the VFW.
Rhonda was a hard worker, spending most of her adult life working at O'Bryan Brothers then Rockwell Automation, which she retired from in 2018. Rhonda was an avid baker, and no one ever left her home hungry. Rhonda loved to find new "goodies" to make for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rhonda is survived by her 2 sons: Shane (Cari) Carter and Scott (Mindy) Carter; 6 grandsons: Ricky Carter, Tristan Carter, Isiah (Pam) Flores, Jacob Carter, Gage Carter, and Logan Ruddy-Carter; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-children: Stacy (Travis) Nachreiner and Dennis (Heather) Fry Jr., 6 step-grandchildren: Riley and Braedan Johnson, Nic Fry, Mariah Frank, Katlin Nachreiner, Jaden Fry; 1 sister: Colleen Howell; 1 brother: Kelly (Shona) Dray; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Fry; son Chad Carter; sister Kay Wallace; parents William and Lorraine; nephew Willy Dray; and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to GRACE in Rhonda's name.
The family would like to thank the Richland Hospital for their excellent care, GRACE for all the support Rhonda has received over the last 6 years, and Rhonda's family and friends who helped her when she needed it. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
