Rhonda Kae King, 73, of Muncie, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, with her family by her side.
Born on August 4, 1952, to the late Clarence D. and Ida Pearl (Burks) Weems, Rhonda was a 1970 graduate of Wapahani High School. On August 19, 1972, she married the love of her life, Mike King, and together they built a life centered around love, laughter, and family.
Rhonda worked for more than 30 years at Munsee Lanes, where she formed many lasting friendships. Her true passion was youth bowling-spending 20 years leading the youth league and introducing hundreds of children to the game she loved. In recognition of her dedication, she was proudly inducted into the Delaware County YABA Hall of Fame.
Above all, Rhonda's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mike; her sons, Chris King (Amy) of Yorktown, and Mike King of Muncie; and her beloved grandson, Sam, of Santa Maria, California. She also leaves behind her sister, Shirley Faulkner, along with many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Rhonda will be remembered for her warmth, her green thumb in the garden, her love of travel, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Weems, and sister, Darlene Craig.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff of the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for their compassion, care, and support throughout Rhonda's courageous 14-year battle.
Rhonda's legacy of love, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
