Rhonda Denell Moffett, age 52, of Axtell passed from this life during the early afternoon hours of Monday, September 1, 2025 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. She was born on January 31, 1973 in Marlin to parents O.B. and Emma Lee (Walts) Moore.
Rhonda grew up in Limestone County, having attended and graduated high school from Groesbeck. In 2004 she moved to Axtell where she would remain until her passing. Shortly after high school she would pursue a career in nursing. Rhonda attended MCC for her LVN license, she would work as an LVN for many years until earning her RN license from MCC in 2008. She worked for Providence Hospital in Waco for many years as well as Bluebonnet Hospice and several other home health companies providing private in home pediatric specialized nursing care. Rhonda had a care givers heart, her compassionate care to all of her patients was second to none. Her lasting legacy will shine bright in the hearts and minds of all that knew and loved her, whether you were family, friend or a past patient of hers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, O.B. Moore and Emma Lee Thomas.
Rhonda leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Patricia Tumlinson and Thomas Scott of San Marcos, sister Belinda Christian and husband Steve of Shiloh, sister Missy Boehler and husband Shannon and brother Petie Tumlinson of Kirk. She also leaves behind her beloved nephews and nieces, Brandon and wife Jennifer, Keith and wife Lacie, Shane, Bradley and wife Hannah, and Carsyn, as well as one great-nephew, Cooper.
A memorial service will be held at the Axtell Store on September 27th, 2025 at 5 o'clock p.m.
