Ricardo L. Centeno

Ricardo L. Centeno, known affectionately as Ricky to his friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Born on January 30, 1995, also in San Antonio, Ricky's life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and selflessness.
Ricky was a cherished son to Rickey and Diana Centeno, a beloved brother to Bianca Villarreal and her husband Edward, and a devoted father to his son, Ricardo. His paternal grandmother, Victoria Centeno, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his dear friend Albert Garcia, survive him.
His grandparents Juan P. Centeno, Gloria M Rodriguez and Mauro T Rodriguez preceded him in death, leaving behind a legacy of love and family values that Ricky embodied every day of his life.
A proud graduate of San Antonio College, Ricky's passion for engineering was second only to his dedication to his family. He was revered as the best dad, always finding time to play games and explore the world with his son. His kind-hearted nature and big heart made him a pillar of strength and support within his family circle.
Ricky's generosity knew no bounds. He was always the first to offer help, whether to a family member in need or a friend in distress. His selfless acts of kindness were countless, and he left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His ability to give without expecting anything in return was a rare quality that made him a beacon of light in his community.
As a family man, Ricky's greatest joy was spending quality time with his loved ones. He had a great sense of humor, his laughter and warmth filling the room. His nieces and nephews, Karina Diana, Elias, and Samuel, will remember him as the fun uncle who could always be counted on for an adventure or a comforting hug.
Ricky's life was a beautiful example of how to live with love and generosity at the forefront. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the profound impact one person's kindness can have on the world.
