Master Sergeant Ricardo A. Corriea, 53, passed peacefully on April 13, 2025, at approximately 11 am in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Ricky was born on May 7, 1971, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Ricardo Corriea Sr. and Judith Corriea, now Judith Gennaro. Ricky grew up in Kingston and graduated from Excelcisor High School in Kingston, Jamaica. In High School, Ricky participated in soccer. Ricky graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City with a Bachelor's and Master's in Business Administration. Ricky entered the Armed Forces and later the United States Air Force and served for 21 years. Ricky met the love of his life, Karen, whose Maiden Name is Karen Andrews. They were eager to begin a life together and settled down in the Florida area. Ricky and Karen have been married for over 27 years.
Ricky enjoyed many hobbies.
Ricky’s proudest moment was when he could hold his son Daniel Corriea.
Ricky enjoyed serving in the military and anything to do with law and order. Ricky was a devoted family man and an honorable Veteran who served with distinction in the US Air Force and the US Army. Ricardo was a true adventurer with a lifelong passion for travel. He was often accompanied by his family during his adventures. He travelled to numerous countries around the world and across the USA. Ricky was an avid collector of die-cast military jets and all things military. He loved law and order. As a toddler, Ricky wanted to be a soldier or police officer. Ricky fulfilled his dream when he joined the United States Army and then transferred to the US Air Force. His goal was to join the FBI following retirement from the Air Force. Ricky loved both Jamaica and the United States of America. He has left a legacy of patriotism for his family. Most of all Ricardo had an undying faith in God. He has been the family's inspiration and beloved hero. He fought the fires of cancer for three years. Ricky was like a fire walker to the end, but now he is with our Lord, Jesus Christ. To God be the glory for the faithful love and care throughout life and eternally.
Ricky’s friends and family would describe Ricky as loyal, devoted to his faith, purpose-driven, friendly, wise, well-loved, eager to help others, honest, having a strong work ethic, strong-willed, generous, selfless, brave, and a devoted spouse.
Ricky is survived by his beloved spouse of 27 years, Karen Corriea, son, Daniel Corriea, Mom, Judith Gennaro and aunt Clarice Plunkett and many nieces and nephews. Ricky also leaves behind many loving friends and extended family.
Ricky’s memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Restoration Community Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
