Ricardo Lozano De La Torre

April 14, 1945 – August 1, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ricardo Lozano De La Torre. A beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Ricardo passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 at the age of 80.

Born April 14, 1945 in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico, Ricardo lived a life defined by strength, sacrifice, and a deep love of family. A hardworking and determined man he dedicated himself to bring himself and his parents to the United States; building a better life not just for himself but for generations to come. Ricardo was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 57 years, Angelica, and together they raised four children – three daughters and a son – who would go on to bless them with 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was a solid foundation of a large, loving family, a man whose quiet strength and unwavering commitment lifted everyone around him. He also had sharp wit and a sarcastic sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. He loved to tell outrageous stories just to get a laugh. His playful lies and clever jokes were the kind of humor that brought people together with laughter.

He found joy in simple pleasures: long visits with family, afternoons spent exploring the aisles of his favorite stores, cheering on his favorite soccer teams, and, of course, his beloved Spurs.

A devoted Catholic, Ricardo lived with humility and grace, always putting loved ones first. To his family, Ricardo was more than a patriarch, he was our rock, our role model, and the kind of man we hope for our sons to grow up to be. He raised not just his children, but grandchildren, and great grandchildren with wisdom, love, and patience.

Ricardo is now reunited with his parents, Eduardo and Victoria De La Torre, his sister Luz Benavidez, his brother Jose L. De La Torre, and Son-in-Law Miguel Sancho Jr. in the eternal embrace of heaven. Though we mourn his loss deeply, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace, and his legacy of love, strength and faith will live with us all. We will miss him more than words can express but carry his spirit with us, always.

April 14, 1945 – August 1, 2025
