Richard Stephen “Steve” Andrew, Sr.

75 of Mooresville, passed away on May 6, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Steve was born on August 10, 1948 in Troy, Ohio to the late Richard Harold Andrew and Marianna (Alsup) Andrew.

Steve was graduate of Indiana State University, where he was president of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. He also honorably served in the Air National Guard and was a member of the American Legion in Danville. Steve enjoyed family beach vacations, watching sports, especially cheering on his Indiana State Sycamores, Indiana Hoosiers, and the Indianapolis Colts. In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing golf every chance he could and was a member of the Prestwick Country Club. Above all, he will be remembered as a family man, who possessed a strong work ethic, was fiercely loyal to his friends and family, loved his grandchildren dearly, and had a unique sense of humor that will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Sheila (Sherrill) Weer; his sons, Richard Stephen Andrew, Jr., Barry Andrew, and a granddaughter Kennedy Andrew.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Brian Burt) Siefert; grandchildren, Jordyn Cobb (Evan), Braelyn Andrew, Keegan and Kaleb Siefert, Brandon and Erin Burt.
