, age 83, a 51-year resident of Romeo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Richard was born February 27, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, the first child of Edward and Veronica (Garstecki) Andrysiak.
He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in Wyandotte, MI in 1958, and then served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
On November 20, 1965, he married Carol Armiak.
Richard was a Pattern Maker by trade and a Computer Programmer for machinery.
His great loves in life were his wife, Carol, and being the Papa to his grandchildren.
He was very artistic, and a winner of many art awards. He was previously a member of the Romeo Art Guild and held a membership to the Starkweather Art Gallery. He loved sharing his art and exhibited at summer art shows for 10 years.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carol, children Ken (Chrissy) Andrysiak and Sherry (Jason) Schwartz, siblings Dan (Annette) Andrysiak, Edward (Isabel) Andrysiak, and Annette (Larry) Eanes, and grandchildren Quinn (Brianne) Walker, Avery Walker, Kenny Andrysiak, and Cameron Andrysiak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Veronica Andrysiak, sister MaryAnn Andrysiak and brother, Raymond "Buddy" Andrysiak.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 11am-1pm, with a Catholic service and memory share beginning at 1pm, at Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo, Michigan 48065).
