Richard “Dick” R. Audet, 85, of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, December 31, 2021, in his home.

Born in Scobey, Montana, on May 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Donald and Leonie Audet. He graduated from Scobey High School, Scobey, MT, with the Class of 1953. Dick was a United States Air Force Veteran serving from 1955 to 1959. He was a Production Foreman employed by Collier-Keyworth of Gardner for 24-years until his retirement in 1997.

Dick was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish/ Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 747 of Gardner. Dick loved to travel and work on crossword puzzles. He enjoyed watching sports and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Dick’s greatest joy came from being around his family and friends, treasuring each special moment with them.

Dick is survived by one daughter, Karen E. Landry and her husband Michael of Westminster; two sons, Kevin G. Audet and his wife Ann of Gardner, and Jeffrey R. Audet of Gardner; seven grandchildren, Justin Landry, Colleen Suarez, Jennifer Buckingham, Rebecca Beirholm, Keith Audet, Marcy, and Brian LeBlanc; nine great-grandchildren, Alanna, Lila, and Jordyn Suarez, Carissa Beirholm, Aeryn and Olivia Landry, Logan and Noah Buckingham, and Hunter Gauthier; a brother, Ronald Audet of Scobey, MT; a sister, Joan Sell and her husband Keith of Helena, MT; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife of 61-years, Gloria M. (DeMoura) Audet, who died December 10, 2019; a brother, Arthur Audet; and two sisters, Gertrude Brinkman and Violet Hawbaker.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held at a later date.

A Calling Hour will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
