Richard Dennis Berger

We are here today to celebrate the life of our beloved Rickster, our Ricky.
Richard Dennis Berger was born on September 16, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Rick was the 3rd of 7 children born to the late Norman Berger and Rebecca Kohus Berger.
Rick graduated from Western Hills High School in 1979 as well as receiving his certification in Radio Broadcasting from Southern Ohio College. Rick was very proud of that accomplishment. He was also a news writer for the Boys club.
Rick moved to Evansville after leaving Cincinnati and worked for Goodwill Industries for 17 years. He became a member of Faith Bible Church for 12 years where he met his Evansville family. In 2020 Rick began attending Evansville Bible Church which he attended until his death. He thought so much of Pastor Ernie. Rick loved Christ and was faithful to what he had learned. He was kind and had many friends. It seemed everybody knew and loved the Rickster. He could make anyone laugh.
Rick leaves behind his mother Becky and stepfather Jesse, 5 brothers, one sister and his nephew Jon whom he considered a brother. Rick had numerous nieces and nephews including Curtis, Cameron, Aaron, Tori and Jayme Kevin and Natasha. Rick also leaves behind his beloved family John and JoAnne Beale and their children. Rick never talked to us that he did not mention them, and we know that was a turning point in Ricks life. Their love and support saw him through his best and worst days and comforted him in the days prior to his passing. So did his many friends. They sat with him, read to him, prayed with him, and sang to him. He thought so much of each of you. The first half of Ricks life wasn't easy. The last half made up for that more than words can say and God will remember that.
Go in peace, Ricky, we will see you in a much better time and place when our Great God has returned for the work of His hands. We love you.

Memorial Service to take place at Evansville Bible Church located on 2001 Bayard Park Drive Evansville, IN on February 17th, 2024 at 10am.
