Richard R. Boswell Jr. “BOZ”, 69, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2023, in Brownsburg, Indiana after a long illness with Parkinsons and dementia. Born on August 2, 1954, in Beech Grove, Indiana he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Richard R. Boswell Sr. and Rosemary T. (Flanagan) Boswell.
Richie will be remembered as a devoted father to Jessica (Bob) Ridenour and grandfather to Noah, Joel, Jacob, Luke, Lazarus, and Shoshanna Ridenour. He had a fulfilling career for many years at the United States Postal Service before retiring. He was extremely passionate about music and was known for making mixed tapes for people so they would enjoy music as well.
Richie was always up for watching football and cheered for the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed reminiscing about playing football at Cardinal Ritter High School and Rugby for the Indianapolis Rugby Team.
During his journey his passion turned to his relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was always sharing with others his strong faith, encouraging them to believe in Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection for forgiveness of sins. He hoped that their faith would be stirred, and they too would believe and be saved.
He is survived by his siblings Michael Boswell, Patricia (Hugh) Crawford, Beverly (Steve) Price, Maureen Morefield, Charles (Diane) Boswell, James Boswell, Mary Boswell and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
The family also wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Brownsburg Meadows for the wonderful care and genuine love they showed him during his transition to an everlasting life with his Lord.
A burial of cremated remains will be held with immediate family at a later date.
