Colchester- Richard "Dick" Brousseau, 75 died unexpectedly July 3, 2022 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born on October 14, 1946 in Norton, VT the son of Mederick and Simonne (Morrisette) Brousseau.
He graduated from Winooski High School and had a lifelong career as a talented builder/craftsman with great attention to detail. He was a passionate outdoorsman with a love of fishing and hunting. He was a proud veteran and served his country with pride and dignity. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as they would give him. Dick was also a member of many clubs throughout his life (the Moose, American Legion, Regular Veterans Association, VFW Post, and others) to which he dedicated many hours of his time doing carpentry jobs, volunteering at cookouts, fish fry's or maybe even organizing a "MEAT Bingo", all in the name of raising money for various charitable organizations. Many will remember him by his nick name "Dicky-Bro".
He is survived by his son and best friend Travis Brousseau and his wife Tammy of Grand Isle, his daughter Angela Racine and her husband Christopher Racine of Colorado, by his grandchildren Kayla, Kyle, Ben, Corey, Nikki, Tiffany (Dylan Louko) and Jessica. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Hailey, Grayson and Austin, his sister Sue Cooper and husband Lou Cooper of Williston and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Parents, brother Donald Brousseau, Grandson James Racine and former wife and mother of his children Veronica "Ronnie" LaBelle (Julien).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 8, 2022 at Jacksons Lodge in Canaan, VT at 12:00 noon (jacksonslodgevt.net). The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to: Hunt of A Lifetime Foundation, 6297 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421, in Memory of Richard "Dick" Brousseau.

I worked with him back when he lived in Nashua NH. We went fishing together and found out his grandmother was the sister of my Great grandfather Wilfred Klein. So we were related. He was a very nice man. Maurice Viens.
