Richard Joe Brown, 68, of Winston Salem, NC (formerly of York, SC), passed away at his home on March 11, 2024. He was born June 8, 1955, in Marion County, SC to the late William Lee Brown and Carrie Martin.
He is preceded in death by husband, Christopher John Philbeck; brother-in-law, Kenneth Carver; nephew, Dwayne Carver; in-laws, Ruby & Louis Philbeck.
Left to cherish his memories are sons, Karsten “Toby” Brown (Eduardo), Richard “Matthew” Brown (Gabriel); daughter, Brandy Christopher (Joey); brothers, Ralph L Brown, James R Brown (Cheryl); sister, Joyce Carver; grandchildren, Kimber Ellis, Colt Ellis; one niece and 3 nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Richard’s Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM with Karsten T. Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery.
