Richard Brown Obituary

CORINTHIANS 15.52
"For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and shall be changed. It will happen in a moment in the blink of an eye when the last trumpet is blown."
On January 12, 2025, Richard Paul (Dick) Brown, 91, followed the sounds of the trumpet to heaven. He was surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family as he peacefully entered his forever home. He was born in Harrisburg PA. on September 17, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt N. and Eleanor (Jenny) Brown and his brothers James and Rodney Brown.
Dick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Bonnie; his son, Paul (Tracy) Brown; and daughters, Elizabeth (Dave) Schultz, Jennifer (Dave) Dillman, Krista (Jim) Corl; his grandchildren, Zachery and Hunter Hutchinson, Carter and Parker Dillman, Ainsley and Christian Corl, Ashley (Tom) Farrell, great-grandson Conor Farrell, and Mother-In-Law Margaret Shedwell.
He served in the United States Air Force, graduated from Baldwin Wallace University, and held various management positions at Western Electric, AT&T Network Systems and Lucent Technologies. Dick had a smile that warmed your heart. His character was one of humility, hardworking, honesty, forgiving, and generosity and many more traits that make a man taller than his statue.
His greatest love and pride were his family and participating in his grandchildren
events. Throughout his life he enjoyed skiing, sailing, fishing and golfing with friends and family. Later in life two of his best enjoyments were golfing with his "Round Belly" golf league and Monday morning breakfast with his "Tractor Club". Dick will be sadly missed by those that had an opportunity to know him.
