Richard G. Chojnacki, age 80, passed away on April 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and a life truly lived to the fullest.
Richard was an outdoorsman at heart-a fisherman with endless patience, a sports fan who never missed a good baseball, football, or golf game, and a musician whose love for the guitar and accordion echoed through many joyful years. In his younger days, he played in several bands, sharing his talent and passion for music with friends and strangers alike.
And speaking of strangers-Richard never really met one. He had a way of turning every encounter into a conversation, every conversation into a connection. His charm, kindness, and easygoing nature made people feel instantly welcome and genuinely seen.
He is survived by his loving son Richard Chojnacki and daughter-in-law Cari, his daughter Jennifer, and his beloved grandchildren: Sydney, Skylar, Alexander, and Ryan. Richard is also remembered with love by his siblings Dennis, Duane, and Denise.
Those who knew him will remember his laughter, his stories, his songs, and the way he embraced life with open arms. He leaves behind memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held at a future date.
In his spirit, Richard wishes that everyone will remember to hug their loved ones-and take them fishing
