Richard Allen Clasen, 73, passed away on June 23, 2025, in Bakersfield, CA. Born on September 19, 1951, Richard dedicated much of his life to his passions and his family.
Richard graduated from North High School and embarked on a diverse career journey, initially working at a title company before spending 25 years as a farmer and then 14 years as a Realtor. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was well-respected in his professional circles for his integrity and dedication.
A devoted Christian, Richard was an active member of Rosedale Bible Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, evident in his commitment to Friday night bible study and his generosity and service to the community.
Richard was a family-loving, funny, nice, helpful, hard-working, and generous man. He cherished beach trips to Morro Bay and Pismo with his wife and family, and he was an avid golfer. These activities were among his favorite ways to relax and connect with loved ones.
He leaves behind his wife, Colleen Clasen; children, Lenny Clasen (Shawn), Tina Fierro (Danny), and Terri Aldrete; grandchildren, Garrett Clasen, Bailey Fierro, Cameron Fierro, Leah Fierro, Christian Aldrete, and Adrian Aldrete; and siblings, David Clasen (Rosalee) and Sandy Oxford (Jack). Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lee Clasen, and his in-laws, Leo and Barbara Smith.
Richard's life will be honored with a graveside service at Shafter Cemetery on July 2, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Rosedale Bible Church at 11:15 am, with a reception to follow.
