Richard Conner Obituary
Mr. Richard Harless Conner, age 75 of Woolwine, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on March 20, 1949 to the late Marvin and Stella Belcher Conner. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Conner is survived by his wife of 16 years, Martha Griffith Conner of the home; two sons, Gary Conner and Steven Conner (Kathy), all of Woolwine; a step-son, Jeffrey Ratcliffe of Stuart; three grandchildren, Taylor Maxie (Jack) and Crystal Conner (Justin), all of Radford, and Aaron Conner of Woolwine; a brother, Raymond L. Conner (Nancy) of Woolwine.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will follow in Jack’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
