Richard l. Cudmore

Richard Cudmore, a longtime resident of West Falmouth and Martha's Vineyard and retired business owner died on October 26th at the age of 92. After 11 years of waiting, he is finally reunited with his beloved wife Patricia.
Dick was born on June 25,1931 in Brockton Ma to the late Stephen and Alice Cudmore. He grew up in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School where he played on their championship football team. He worked for A.F German for many years and later formed the automotive supple company, ACM, Inc.
Dick is survived by his sister Janice Cudmore Churchill and husband Howard, their children Kimberly Crump, Lisa Fishman and Keith Churchill all of CA; brother David Cudmore and wife Nancy of Easton MA, children Richie Cudmore of CT, Todd Cudmore of NY and Stephanie Gill of North Easton MA; his niece Melessa Fox, her husband Dennis, nephew Todd Davock and wife Kathleen and their children.
He was a member of the North Falmouth Congregational Church, Rotary Club of Brockton for 50 years where he served as President in 1980-1981 and as Assistance Harbormaster of Menemsha MV.
In addition to making jewelry and crafts he possessed a great passion for fishing. Starting in 1952, he fished the Marthas Vineyard Stripped Bass and Bluefish Tournament for 53 straight years. He also enjoyed offshore pursuits, particularly bluefin tuna fishing.
A Memorial Service will be held at North Falmouth Congregational Church, 155 Old Main Road, North Falmouth, on November 18th at 11 AM followed by a reception at the church.
