WORCESTER-Richard T. Donnelly, 80, of Worcester passed away Thursday, September 19 at his home.
His wife, Dorine A. (Gedenberg) Donnelly died in 2022. He leaves three children, Lisa Gingras and her husband, Francis of Worcester, David Donnelly of Worcester and Kelley Harding and her husband, Thomas of Brookfield; a step-son, Jonathan Hoff of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Tiffani and her husband Matt, Ashley, Sean and his wife, Alexandra, Breanna and her husband, Alex, Francis, Kalie, Sarah and Thomas; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Linda Hainsworth, Kathy Hassett and her husband John and Carol Zukowsky and her husband, Robert and nieces and nephews. A son, Richard Donnelly and three siblings and their spouses, Joanne and Jack Hall, Doris and Wyman Darling and Hughie and Mary Donnelly, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Hugh R. and Doris M. (Lovely) Donnelly and attended South High School.
Richard was a truck driver for over 35 years for the Teamster Local Union #170. He loved spending time with his family, especially in earlier years by the pool in the backyard. He would do anything to help others out and was always willing to give them “the shirt of his back” if needed.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 25 at 10am in Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Tuesday, September 24 from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.
