OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Richard Dowlen Easom, Jr., age 14 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverend Jason Madden will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Red Wing Cemetery near Oak Grove.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 9 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Cox Funeral Home, 200 East Noble Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Dowlen passed into eternal life on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove, from injuries as a result of a single motor vehicle accident.
Dowlen was a student at Oak Grove High School where he was a member of the Oak Grove Tigers. He loved to fish and hunt, listen to music and playing video games. Dowlen was a very loving and caring person. He loved wearing his hat with his curly hair. He loved being with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Dowlen Easom, Sr.
Survived by his guardian-mother, Carla Joan Dietz of Oak Grove, Louisiana; mother, Joanna Rachelle Gough of Overton, Texas; sister, Ariana Easom of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother, Brenton Gough of Overton, Texas; sister, Brynlee Gough of Overton, Texas; sister, Molly Dietz of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister, Hayden Dietz; Great Grandmother, Sue Powell, Norman Ok.; aunt Raven Mullins of Jena, Louisiana, and numerous Cousin's.
Pallbearers are: Rylan Duff, Brycen Meziere, Carson Key, Dane Stacy, Christopher Burton, and Jase Johnston.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Nathen Madden, Samuel Cook, Daniel Stacy, and Carson Mooney.
