Anne Hershey Easom, of Cordele, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at her residence at the age of 70. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Born in Statesboro, Anne was the daughter of the late Sanford Emrick Hershey and Mary Morris Hershey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Hershey and a sister, Susan Cleveland. She loved to cook and she enjoyed time around the table with family and her precious grandchildren. Anne loved camping, deer hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors on her UTV, and in her younger years she enjoyed playing softball. In her quiet time, she loved to read. Animals had a soft spot in her heart and she especially loved her dog and constant companion, Beauti. Anne was a sweet and humble soul and loved everyone she met. She was employed with Harris Group for several years and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Anne is survived by her husband of 53 years, William "Billy" Easom of Cordele; two children, William (Jaimi) Easom of Canton and Beth Easom Payne of Cordele; a brother, Jim (Elizabeth) Hershey of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Cayden Easom, Jordan Easom, Baili Easom, Jasmine Payne and Brayden Payne; two sisters-in-law, Diane Hershey of Sylvania and Maxine Easom of Athens; a brother-in-law, Ben Cleveland of Cordele; and several nieces and nephews. The family asked that memorial donations be made to Crisp Regional Hospice, 202 East 4th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
