RICHARD ALAN GAMBLE, 63, passed on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in Centerville, Va. Born Thursday, August 2, 1962, in Lebanon, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Donald Wharton Gamble, Sr. and the late Thelma Jean Gamble. Alan grew up in Tennessee with his three brothers. He later went on to a distinguished career in the Navy as a radioman on the USS Claude V. Ricketts. He served from 1983 to 1987, and retired as Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). Alan then went on to various jobs, ranging from professional photographer, car salesman, IT repairman, and even a DJ. Alan eventually started his own company, Alan Gamble Painting, where he earned a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and maintaining high standards. Alan leaves many to cherish his memory including his son, Zachary Alan Gamble, wife, Debbie Deaton, brothers, Donald Gamble, Jr. (Siri), Michael Gamble (Lynn), Robert Gamble (Judy) and Tanner Gamble (Jennifer), stepmother, Dona Gamble, and stepdaughters, Jessica and Laura Deaton; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held privately in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
