Richard Norbert Gerwe

Richard Norbert Gerwe, 89, passed away on February 23, 2024, at Twin Lakes in Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara. He was a devoted father to Jerry (Cheryl) Gerwe, Sue (Marty) Brunk, Ken (Judy) Gerwe, Dave (Deidra) Gerwe, Mark (Marla) Gerwe, Steve (Margie) Gerwe and Lisa (Bill) Branzel. He was a brother to Larry Gerwe and Rosemary VanLoan. He was a loving grandfather to 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He was born on February 28, 1934, in Cincinnati, OH to Norbert and Rose Gerwe. He graduated from Ohio Mechanics Institute and worked many years as a Purchasing Agent for Cincinnati Industrial Machinery and retired from Whiteway-Spaulding. He spent his retirement years traveling and working part time at Little Miami Golf Course. Richard enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He volunteered and shared a leading role in the Clermont County Right to Life.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 29th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at John H. Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford, OH 45150. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 1 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 5890 Buckwheat Road, Milford, OH 45150. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH. 45249
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Right to Life.
