Richard T. Golias, 82, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at his home. He was born June 15, 1943 in Cleveland the son of Thomas and Michalina (Waligorski) Golias. On February 19, 1972 he married Kathleen Madanski. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He worked at Dupont Chemical, Jays Home Furnishing in Cleveland and Standard Oil Refinery in Cleveland. He enjoyed harness horse racing and oldies music, especially going to Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside. He loved animals and vacationing with his wife, including three overseas trips and Hawaii.
Surviving are his wife: Kathleen Golias; nieces: Diana Turchik and Karen (Ted) Ledvina both of Seven Hills, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; half-sister: Eleanor Turchik and niece Paulette Bacho.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2025 from 1:00 4:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A short prayer service will be led by Father Joseph Szybka at 1:00pm Sunday. Memorial contributions may be given to The Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
