He was born on June 24, 1939 to Richard Lewis Hake and Mabel (Miller) Maas in Madison, WI.
Richard will be remembered for his successful attempt to get into the military under the age of 18, to flee a broken home and emerge from his service with an honorable discharge airmen 2nd class.
He will be remembered by many in supporting his wife Eileen in opening their home to anyone that needed shelter.
His playful arrogance, child-like devotion to honesty and encouraging grace in the face of huge obstacles will always be his hallmark.
He wed Eileen Hake (Remsik) in Loves Park on September 6, 1962.
He was preceded in death by his brother Harley Hake.
He is survived by: His son Michael Hake (WI) and Kristine Schubert (Hake) (CA)
Grandchildren: Rheannon Hake, Nikkita Zajicek, Daniel Zajicek, Jordan Hake and
Sydney Hake.
