Richard Lee Hammonds

Richard Lee Hammonds was born on August 13, 1977, to Arlean Hammonds and Richard Hardy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Richard attended North Division High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before moving on to attend, and then graduating from The Dayton Job Corps Center in Dayton, Ohio.
Richard took the vast knowledge he gained from The Dayton Job Corps and used it to acquire his position within the Milwaukee Public School District as a Facility Operation Engineer for over a decade. He then took an opportunity to manage apartment complexes in the Milwaukee area before he ultimately chose to leave Wisconsin and move to Texas to reside with his family.
As a young man, Richard grew up enjoying things like spending time with family and friends, playing sports and going to sporting events, video games, comics, anime', and comedy. Richard also really enjoyed "hands on" projects like fixing cars and fixing different things around the house. Anything Richard could do to fix and improve – he did, because that's the type of person he was. Richard was kind. Richard was loving. Richard was fun. Richard was generous and he will Truly be missed!
Richard was a dedicated, loving father, role model and provider. He was a family man. He loved every aspect of being a father and he loved his family dearly. He is beloved by his family members and will truly be missed by all.
Richard Lee Hammonds departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He is preceded in death by his Mother- Arlean Hammonds, Aunts- Lucille Ford and Belinda Hardy, and Uncles- Ronald Miles Hammonds and Allen Hardy (Pepper).
Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his Father- Richard Hardy, his Son- Richard Hammonds III, his Stepson- Lyndell Blake, Brothers- Terrell Hammonds (Mechele) and Camerin Hammonds, Nieces and Nephews- Terrell Hammonds Jr. (Ebony), Joseph Hammonds, Temela Hammonds and Jayvon Hammonds, Great Nephews- Terrell Hammonds III, Tahj Hammonds and Tyrell Hammonds, Aunts- Mary E Walker, Deborah O'Brian, and Michele Hickman, Uncles- Leon Hammonds (Geraldine), John Hardy (Sunny) and David Hardy, Cousins- Lamar Walker, Crystal Walker, Kenneth Walker, Tony Hardy, Krystal Hardy, Eric Hardy, Ladarrell Hickman, April Hickman, Amy Hickman, Minuete Hammonds, Isaac Brooks, Traci Brooks, Kendra Brooks, David Hardy Jr., Alex Hardy, Niko Hardy, Ronald Wilson, Miles Wilson, and Steven Wilson.
