Richard Hawkins passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
He was the son of Frank and Roz and the brother of David, Robert, Christine and Mark. He and his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Muffy, had two children, Courtney (partner Zach) & Ashley (husband Rob), three adored grandchildren, Robbie, Jackson and Emilia. He was deeply loved as a husband, son, father, papi, poppy, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, boss and colleague.
Rich could build or fix just about anything. After a successful business career, and a sabbatical building Muffy's dream home, he decided to retire early and start his own business as the trusted handyman that everyone needed.
Rich approached every role, relationship, job or task before him with the goal of doing his best. He will always be remembered for giving his all to everyone and because of that, his legacy will forever surround us.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 29th from 11-2 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to HopeHealth Hospice & Pallative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence RI 02904. We are so grateful to their team for their compassionate care in Rich's final days.
