Richard was the owner/operator of Heater's Repair from 1989-2009.
Survivors include sons Jeremy Heater of West Union, Brett Heater & Sarah of Hillsboro; daughters Kelly Hill & Karl of West Union, Teresa Bradford & Dustin of Sardinia, Ashley Unger & Matthew of Peebles, granddaughter McKinley Heater of Sardinia; sisters Audra Galford & Don of Beckley, WV, Helen Brown of Chillicothe, Karen Wickline of Beckley, WV, Dawn Balcom & Jimmy of Louisville; several grand and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the Adams County Honor Guard at 1:00 PM, at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union is serving the family.
