Richard Wayne Heskett, 77, of Zanesville, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at his home.
Richard was born on December 21, 1947, in Cambridge, a son of the late Raymond Richard Heskett and Dorothy May Steele.
Richard was a member of the Zanesville Eagles, the Zanesville Moose Lodge, the Zanesville VFW, the Zanesville American Legion and the Muskingum Valley Boating Association. He worked at Goodwill Industries for 39 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Jackie Heskett, and two sisters, Janey and Kitty.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, Cindy Lawson, his daughter, Cathy (Randall) Parcell of New Concord, his stepdaughter, Jennifer (John) Eluer of North Carolina, his stepson, Jason (Angie) Lawson of White Cottage, two brothers, Donald (Ida) Heskett of Byesville and Larry (Tammy) Heskett of Old Washington, and his sister, Tina (Tony) Hutchison of Zanesville. Also left to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren, Kim, Brandy, Steven (Heather), Grayson, Jacob, John, and Emily, his great grandchildren, Skyler, Kyle, Chelsea, and Steven, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and good friends.
Services will be held at a later date at Muskingum Valley Boat Club.
