Richard Paul Hixson, born on August 15, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2025, at the age of 84.
Richard was the son of Harold and Emmy Hixson and was preceded in death by his sisters Polly (Sam Buzek), Sandy Foote, and Susan Hixson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Gates Hixson, who was his steadfast support throughout his life and during his battle with COPD and other health challenges. Richard also leaves behind his sons Jeff (Cindy) Hixson, Jon (Heather) Hixson, James (Heidi) Hixson, and Jerry Hixson, as well as his cherished grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A talented technician and inventor, Richard's career included work with Goodyear, Texas Instruments, and other technology companies. His innovative mind was matched by a deep spiritual nature that guided him throughout his life.
Richard's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Per Richard Paul Hixson's request. He will be laid to rest, with private services. At Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio. On Mondy June 16, 2025. He will be given a 21 Gun solute. The family would like to thank anyone for their loving support during this time. Hugs, God's Blessings always, Judy Gates, Jeff, Jon, Jim, Jerry and our families.
