Richard A. Hunt, 80, died peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Signature Health Care of Muncie.
Richard was born to Francis and Ruby (Carter) Hunt on September 6, 1943, in Muncie. He married Latricia Fay Dawson on August 11, 1962, and together they would raise their four children in Eaton.
Richard worked for Chevrolet retiring after 30+ years of employment. He was a long-time member of the UAW, the Eagles #231 and Moose Lodge #33.
Richard enjoyed fishing, golfing, and 57 Chevys.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Latricia Fay (Dawson) Hunt; his children: Melinda Winters (Terry), Troy Hunt (Cheryl) and Kellie Garringer (Donnie); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Francis Hunt and Ruby Mullins, Richard was preceded in death by his son DeWayne Hunt and his brother, Isacc "Ike" Hunt; sister, Jackie Beeman; and step-father, Floyd "Pappy" Mullins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home 200 S Hartford St., Eaton with Pastor Ty Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
