LT. Colonel Richard D. Hutchinson, U.S. Army, age 78, has gone to be with the Lord on December 7, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1946, to John William and Bernice Morea Parnell in Warren, Arkansas. Richard attended Everman High School where he graduated in 1964. After graduation, Richard joined the United States Army and graduated from Officer Basic Training in 1967. He served a tour in Vietnam and went on to proudly serve in the military for 26 years until his retirement in May 1992. After military retirement Richard worked for the state of Texas as an Internal Auditor until his second retirement in 1994. Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother & Father Bernice & John and his brother John Wayne. He is survived by his adopted daughter, Patty, three grandchildren, two great grandsons, one great, great grandson, his niece Tabitha Hope Hutchinson and his great niece Hope Morea Green. A funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Thursday December 19th at Sunset Baptist Church in Dripping Springs, TX. A graveside will be held at 1:00PM Friday December 20, 2024 at Laurel Land Cemetery in Ft. Worth TX.
