Richard "Rick" Eugene Jackson, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at his home.
Rick was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 25, 1952 to the late Billy E. and Betty (Erwin) Jackson. He worked as an operations manager for 30 years at the Indiana Department of Transportation and 12 years at Sterett Heavy Hauling. Rick was a member of the Evansville Athletic Club, VFW Post #1114 and the American Legion Post #265. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Rick adored his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rick is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marie (Bartley) Phillips Jackson of Evansville, IN; daughters, Melissa Davis and Lori Jackson; sons, Jeremy Jackson and Haskall Randall, II; his favorite sister-in-law, DeAnn Bartley Isbell of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Jabin Davis, Rylan Davis, Slade McClarney and Tuff McClarney; great grandchildren, Isabella Randall, Wyatt Davis, Maleah Davis and Jace Davis.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; and grandchild, Bradley; and sister, Linda Harnisfeger and her husband, Paul.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Bill Hitch officiating.
Friends may visit from 1:00 pm until service time on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post #1114, 110 N. Wabash Ave. of Flags, Evansville, IN 47712.
