Richard Jacobs Obituary
Richard (Red) Terence Jacobs, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
He was born in Urbana, Illinois on July 21, 1961, the son of Terence (Terry) Jacobs (NY, NY) and Donna Drew Jacobs (Herrin, IL).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Terence and Donna Jacobs. He is survived by his brother, Mark (Valerie) Jacobs, his niece, Jennifer (Lenny) Bishop and nephew, Alan Jacobs. He is also survived by his two aunts and uncle, Cheryl and Joseph Griffith and Karla Stokes.
Red had a love for classic cars, the blues, old country music and the game of poker. He loved sports talk radio, watching the Braves and spent 38 years attending the NHRA Southern Nationals at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA. He also spent many years attending youth softball, basketball and hockey games supporting his niece and nephew.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral home with Chaplain Bryan Lake officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 9:00 am until 11 am at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
