Richard “Rick” Jaeger, age 80, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 surrounded by family.
Rick was born on March 16, 1945, to Victor and Irene (Uelmen) Jaeger and grew up in Campbellsport, WI. A proud lifelong Wisconsinite, Rick built a career and a legacy rooted in service, community, and genuine connection. He owned and operated Jaeger Insurance, Real Estate and Appraisals in Campbellsport for many years, earning the trust and friendship of countless clients through his integrity, professionalism, and ever-present good humor.
Rick was deeply spiritual and was a proud and active member of Holy Family Catholic Parish, Fond du Lac, WI. He faithfully attended Mass and prayed often for others. His kindness and faith were an inspiration to all who knew him.
A man of generosity and civic pride, Rick gave freely of his time and talents. He served as Charter President of the Campbellsport Jaycees, President of the Lions Club, a dedicated member of the Fire Department and Rescue Squad, and a valued voice on the School Board. He was also a proud 50-year member of the Catholic Knights, a Navigator in the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Habitat for Humanity Board Member, a Visiting Angel to many, among many other organizations.
Rick’s professional accomplishments reflected his commitment to excellence—he held credentials as a Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Residential Appraiser, Member of the Board of Realtors, and Securities Broker for Packerland Brokerage. Yet, it was his kindness, wit, and warmth that truly defined him.
Rick’s life was rich with adventure and laughter. He cherished travel and was always eager to explore new places—from Italy to Iceland, Scotland, and beyond. He loved music and could often be found singing karaoke, lighting up the room with his trademark smile and his favorite song, “What a Wonderful World.”
He is survived by his dear and loving friend Linda Johnson; sister Jeannette (Roy) Rohlinger, his children Jennifer (Bob) Machacek, Jackie Luedtke (Warren Francart), Brad (Christina) Jaeger, and Jill (Joe) Pentek; and his beloved grandchildren Jackson Luedtke, Alexandrea Machacek, Grant Luedtke, Matt Machacek, Jake Machacek, Lauren Pentek, Liberty Luedtke, Colton Jaeger, Megan Pentek, Addyson Jaeger, and Maddy Luedtke and nephews Jeff (Mary) Rohlinger and Mike Rohlinger. Rick’s family and friends will forever remember his stories, laughter, and his boundless love for life.
Rick was preceded in death by daughter in law Jennifer Lambie-Jaeger and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Warming Center at Holy Family, Fond du Lac or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Rick’s heart.
Rick’s legacy of service, laughter, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him. Indeed, he showed us—through both word and deed—just what a wonderful world it can be
