Richard J. Janiszewski

Richard “Dick” Janiszewski, 89, peacefully passed away, surrounded by love and family on August 11, 2025 in Fort Pierce, FL.

Dick was born in Jersey City, NJ and resided in Ridgewood, NJ, Beach Haven, NJ and Little Egg Harbor, NJ before making his home in Fort Pierce, FL in 2015.

A distinguished member of the yachting community, Dick served as past Commodore of the Spray Beach Yacht Club in LBI, NJ, and held leadership roles as past president of the International Order of the Blue Gavel and the Florida Commodore Association. He and Pat were actively involved with the Fort Pierce Yacht Club and Pelican Yacht Club for many years, contributing to its vibrant community. Dick will be fondly remembered as a gentle soul with a warm sense of humor and will be missed by family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Patricia A. Janiszewski of Fort Pierce, FL; children: Mark C. (Karen) Janiszewski of Carolina Beach, NC and Richard Scott (Linda) Janiszewski of Lititz, PA; grandchildren: Christopher Janiszewski (Jessica), Bryan R. Janiszewski, Megan Janiszewski, Ana Janiszewski, Ryan Janiszewski and great grandchild Landon Christopher Janiszewski.
