Rick will be missed terribly by his wife Sandra L. Downing, his children June Gilliam and her husband Brandon, Richard Joyce and his partner Michelle, Kevin Joyce and his wife Kristina, Danielle Farah and her husband Emile, as well as 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his step children Melissa, Michael and Tim Downing, his 2 sisters Melita Lee Ann Koistinen and her husband Eric, Lydia Shields and her husband Doug, many nephews and nieces and too many friends to list.
A prayer service celebrating Rick's life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 11:00 AM, at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 90 Curve Street, Millis, MA 02054. Visiting hours will be the evening prior, Tuesday, May 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

My condolences to all of Rick's families. I grew up with the Shields, Thatchers, and Ritchies along with Ricky up at Little Acorn Farm.
Always a great guy. I will miss our chance meetings around town. My thoughts and prayers are with you Sandy.

My sincere condolences to Rick's family. We met at Victory a year or so ago. We had lots of laughs and played our favorite Jethro Tull songs on the Jukebox. I will miss seeing him. Toasted Him last night. Godspeed Rick.
